Children of all ages will be on hand at Putnam Hospital Center Saturday for the medical facility’s 7th annual Kids Day celebration.

The event features a variety of interactive health and safety exhibits and demonstrations that will be interspersed with crafts, games and children’s-themed vendors.

Hot diggity dog! Due to popular demand, another muttley mingle is in order! Sycamore Park is going to the dogs at WOOFSTOCK 2012 on Sunday, June 10, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m, rain or shine.

This family and four-legged best friend event is being hosted by the Friends of Sycamore Dog Park, Inc., (a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit) who love their dogs and their community.

Dozens of Carmel teachers were up early last Saturday and swept the Putnam County seat clean of unsightly debris.

Three teams of educators filled dozens of orange trash bags with trash picked up along Routes 6 and 52 as well as the Gleneida lakeshore.

Man Arrested for Forged Prescriptions

A Mahopac man is facing a lengthy state prison term for allegedly passing forged prescriptions at a Jefferson Valley pharmacy.

Yorktown Police arrested Mario Zegarelli, 52, last week on five charges of criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Library Celebrates its 60th Anniversary
