Historical Society Gears Up for End of Season

The Town of Carmel Historical Society recently installed the officers and trustees for 2010-11, at the Historical Center, 40 McAlpin Avenue, Mahopac. The Historical Society is an all volunteer organization and manages the Historical Center archives, representing the local history of the hamlets of Carmel and Mahopac.
For over 30 years the Historical Society has been preserving and exhibiting artifacts at the Center, in addition to presenting educational and community programs.
The Historical Center is open Sundays 2-4pm, April through November, and by appointment.
Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday, at 7:15pm.
