Firefighters Avert Disaster at Condo
Firefighters attack a blaze at the Patterson Village Condominiums last Saturday morning that damaged two units. No one was injured.
John Bodor Recalling a terrible blaze that destroyed six units at the Patterson Village Condominiums a year and a half ago, fire crews responded in force last Saturday after numerous 911 calls were received reporting a “working fire” at the sprawling complex off Route 311 in Patterson.
Patterson Assistant Chief Tom Dixon said emergency responders were greeted by flames shooting from unit 38A Patterson Village, which was occupied by two men described as being developmentally disabled.
The pair escaped uninjured although their unit suffered heavy fire and smoke damage to the living room and kitchen areas.
