Program Seeks Local Business Internships

Eric Gross

The Brewster High School Senior Enrichment Experience (SEE) is seeking internships from local businesses.

The program allows members of the BHS Class of 2012 with a grade point average of 3.0 or better to participate in a work-study experience by not being required to attend classes for the final weeks of the semester but instead become immersed in an independent study consisting of volunteering as teaching assistants, serving internships or by participating in independent projects outside of school.

At the conclusion of the project, all participants will be required to present their experiences at a SEE fair attended by community leaders, parents, relatives, fellow students and guests.

Four members of the Class of 2012—Clare Quinn, Shaugnessy Elsroth, Collin Callahan and Henry Cimitone—have been appointed coordinators.

The request for internships was made last Friday by Callahan, who asked any professional or business owner desiring to partake in the program to contact Brewster Principal Joseph Castagnola at 279-5051.
