Smoke was visible for miles Sunday when a raging fire destroyed a large storage building along Hortontown Hill Road in western Kent. Fire equipment had great difficulty reaching the scene around 3 p.m. since the winding road—in some locations no wider than a single lane—was even narrower due to snow banks on both sides of the thoroughfare.
